Kelly Jean Mack
Advisory Board Members - Biographies
Nick Nichols - Executive Director of the Tabard Theater
Nick is the Executive Director of the Tabard Theatre Company at Theatre on San Pedro Square. His credits include work with San Jose Rep, Ballet San Jose, American Musical Theatre of San Jose and Symphony Silicon Valley. Nick holds an M.F.A. in technical theatre and design from Temple University, a B.A. in theatre from Santa Clara University and has done post-graduate work in Arts Administration at Golden Gate University.
Beth Hollenbeck - Music Director, Scotts Valley Unified School District
Beth is the Music Director for Scotts Valley Unified School District. She also served on the San Lorenzo Valley District Arts Team from 2004-2009 and on SLV Measure O Bond Oversight Committee for the new library and performing arts center from 2008-2010. She currently directs over 100 performing arts students in her band and choir classes at Scotts Valley Middle and High School.
Lew Rubin - Financial Consultant
Lew owns a Financial Consulting Business in Santa Cruz. He has been active in the theater community of Scotts Valley for many years as an actor, producer, Master of Ceremonies and Board member of Scotts Valley Performing Arts. He is a founding Board Member of SVCT Guild and continues to advise the Guild with its finances.
Val Rebhahan - Electrical Engineer
Val worked for many years in the field of electrical engineering. He is a founding Board member of SVCT Guild. Val has volunteered with many local theater groups offering technical and sound services for numerous productions. Theater has become his passion. Val is also an Arts Commissioner for the City of Scotts Valley.
Brian Ruf - President, E&K Scientific Products
Brian graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a degree in Theatre Arts. He acted in LA for a few years then moved to New York in 1989. He was cast in the 1989 Broadway National Tour of the Buddy Holly Story playing the Big Bopper. Brian moved back to Northern California in 1995 and did local theatre at the Bus Barn in Los Altos and City Lights in San Jose. He is currently the president of E&K Scientific Products, a distributor of scientific supplies in the life science research market. Brian is married and has "lots of kids."
John Ficarra - Marketing Director
John is the Marketing Director at Canepa in Scotts Valley. He is a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England, and has over 200 professional acting, directing, and choreography credits.
Melanie Usildiner - Agape Dance Studio
Melanie is a trained classical ballet dancer. She received scholarships from prestigious schools across the nation and Canada. Melanie danced for the San Francisco Ballet, New York City Ballet, Banff School of Fine Arts and the Pennsylvania Ballet. She danced professionally with the San Francisco Ballet, Dance Theater of Kansas and San Jose Dance Theater. Melanie is the owner and director of Agape Dance Academy in Scotts Valley.
Mark Brannan - Construction Management
Mark's experience is in construction, construction management and contracts, land entitlement, leasing and over all real estate development business. He has extensive experience in site development and all phases of construction including single family homes, mid-rise construction, public facilities, heavy industrial, and office complexes.
Mark has been a resident of Santa Cruz County since 1970 and has lived in Scotts Valley since 1987. He has been a licensed general contractor since the early 1980's. Mark is a partner and the qualifying individual for the general contracting leg of a real estate development firm located in Campbell, CA.
